Kabala
Kabala is a popular lottery game played in Peru.
Draws take place three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 18:00 local time. Ticket sales close at 16:50 on draw days and reopen immediately afterward.
Kabala entry costs PEN 1.00.
To play, choose six numbers between 1 and 40, or go for a Quick Pick for numbers generated at random.
In Combination Entry, choose up to 15 numbers that are entered into the Kabala draw in every possible combination, which is a great way to improve the chances of winning but also massively inflates the cost.
Advance Play is also available, with players able to enter 2 to 6, 8, 12 or 16 draws at a time.
Kabala has a secondary game called Chau Chamba for an extra PEN 1.00. This second draw is entered using previously chosen Kabala numbers, with players who match all six numbers winning PEN 5,000 per month for 20 years! Chau Chamba also pays out secondary cash prizes for matching 3, 4 or 5 numbers.
Jackpot
Kabala has a minimum guaranteed jackpot of PEN 150,000.
Kabala has no limits to the number of possible rollovers or the value that the jackpot can reach, which due to the frequency of draws and consecutive rollovers, can grow very quickly!
Odds and Prizes
The odds of winning the Kabala jackpot are 1 in 3,838,380, which are long odds for such a modest prize!
Players can win at five different prize tiers, with overall odds of 1 in 13 of winning something.
With the exception of the jackpot, prize amounts at all tiers are fixed, with the bottom-tier prize for matching two numbers being a free play into the next draw.

Payout and Taxes
Players have up to 180 days to claim Kabala prizes, which are paid out as lump sums only.
Lottery winnings are subject to 10% tax in Peru.
